OTIS X KENTARO YOSHIDA

A collision of play and meaning. A celebration of the creative. A reminder to look closely at the little details in Iife...

This three piece collection evokes a lifestyle that lends itself to the boundless creativity of Kentaro and the devoted craftsmanship of OTIS.

These unique designs are inspired by Western Australia’s flora and fauna, Kentaro’s unparralled style and of course, by Brighter Days. Each piece of eyewear comes with signature etching on temples, a collector’s pin and a recycled PET cleaning cloth – all adorned with Kenny’s work.

UNIQUE DESIGNS FOR BRIGHTER DAYS

Drawn from Kenny’s minimalistic approach to style, art and life, the collection incorporates contemporary colourways and clean, refined lines. The unique laser-etching of Kentaro's designs onto the temples makes this collection more than just sunglasses; they are wearable works of art.

“I just wanted to make something I really want to wear,” says Kentaro about the collection. “Something mature and a little bit slick, with detail you might not see at first glance, but when you do, it really brings a smile to your face.”

ABOUT KENTARO

Kenny moved to Australia from Japan at the age of 18 to study art and English. He fell in love with the surf lifestyle of Sydney’s Northern Beaches so decided to stay. Ken has since cemented himself as one of the country’s most sought after surf creatives and mural artists.

“Because English is my second language, I had so much struggle to communicate well, including the cultural barriers. But drawing something, or even making a quick sketch to tell my ideas, helped people understand me so much better.”
