You will need your prescription and PD (pupillary distance) measurement. Any optician can provide you with these and you are under no obligation to purchase your glasses from your optician. We will need to know if you are after distance or readers (single vision lenses) or if you need them for both and have multifocal lenses (progressive lenses).

If you are in Australia, then as per the Australian Opticians Act, it is the obligation of any optician to provide you with a prescription. The optician will provide you with a thorough eye examination and is required by law to provide you with a copy of your prescription for your own records. You are not under any obligation to purchase your glasses from your optician - so do not feel pressured into doing so!

Lenses that contain the same amount of vision correction for the entire lens. Single vision lenses are the most common among people who need vision correction, and it means the entire lens contains the same amount of vision correction for near sightedness ,far sightedness or astigmatism

Progressive lenses are Multifocal lenses with different sections of vision correction. With a seamless transition in the lens from distance on top, to reading correction at the bottom, they can provide much sharper overall vision.

Blue light glasses filter the blue light emissions from digital devices, artificial light from screens and lights and are used to minimise the impact on your circadian rhythm, which is particularly important for those who spend a lot of time using digital screens or in LED lit rooms. Blue light lenses can help mitigate the impact of blue light by limiting how much reaches the eyes, supporting the natural release of melatonin. Blue light lenses may contribute to improved hormone regulation and alertness.

Transition lenses are photochromic that darken outdoors in seconds, and indoors they return to clear faster than ever. They block 100% of UVA and UVB ray and filter up to 26% of blue-violet light indoors and up to 86% of blue-violet light outdoors. They are lenses you can wear all the time in all conditions.

As prescription lenses are considered a medical item they can’t be returned unless there is a manufacturing issue. OTIS Lifetime Warranty on manufacturing defects of the frame still apply. However if you have a problem please email cs_otis@leisurecollective.com.au with your order number and we will happily look after you to make sure you are happy with the outcome.

Good news! We can provide you with the required information to pass on to your health fund to be able to make a claim. Most rebates are processed with 4-5 business days.

1.60 Index Lens: The glasses we supply for 1.61 index come with MR8 optical lenses with a FREE scratch-resistant, Anti-Reflective and UV Protective coatings. The lenses are covered for a year against any kind of breakage (even if you sit on them). Remember, lenses can never be scratch proof hence is not covered under warranty. However, the scratch-resistant coating does reduce the risk of the lenses getting scratched through daily wear and tear.

1.67 DIGITAL High Index Lens: The glasses we supply with high index come with hard resin material with a perfect spheric & aspheric design without any distortion. It comes with all coatings as the 1.61 Index lens however 45% thinner than plastic
lenses.

The need to order thin lenses depends on your prescription and the frame you choose. We recommend thin lenses if your spherical power is ± 2.5 or above.
